Philippe Sylvestre Becomes the Fifth Partner at Brucher Thieltgen & Partners

Following the appointment of Anne-Marie Ka last year, Philippe Sylvestre has now also been promoted to Partner at Brucher Thieltgen & Partners. Together, they join the firm’s long-standing partners Nicolas Thieltgen, Marie Bena and Nicolas Bernardy.

“Philippe has an outstanding profile, combining strong technical expertise, in-depth practical knowledge of the Luxembourg market and exceptional personal qualities. His promotion to Partner was a natural step in supporting the firm’s continued growth.”

comments Nicolas Thieltgen, Managing Partner.

Philippe Sylvestre has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2014 and joined Brucher Thieltgen & Partners in 2021. With ten years of experience, he advises the firm’s clients on corporate and commercial law matters, particularly shareholder disputes and debt recovery. He has also developed significant expertise in assisting companies facing financial difficulties, including through restructuring and insolvency proceedings. In his new role, he will co-head the firm’s Restructuring & Insolvency practice alongside Nicolas Bernardy.

Philippe Sylvestre is actively involved in Luxembourg’s legal and non-profit communities. He is a member of the Luxembourg Association of Court-Appointed Insolvency Practitioners (Association Luxembourgeoise des Mandataires de Justice), Legal Mondo and INSOL Europe, and serves as the National Representative for Luxembourg within the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA). He is also a board member of Fondation Caritas Luxembourg and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOS Détresse.

Committed to sharing his knowledge, Philippe also teaches at the École de Commerce et de Gestion de Luxembourg and the Luxembourg Chamber of Skilled Trades and Crafts (Chambre des Métiers). He regularly contributes as a speaker and author on his particular area of expertise: insolvency law.

Brucher Thieltgen & Partners is delighted to promote talent from within the firm and welcomes this appointment as a reflection of its continued growth and the quality of its legal practices.

The entire team congratulates Philippe on this important milestone in his career!
